Mission Statement
”The Blue Marble” (1972) is the first photo taken of our entire home planet. The first glimpse at ourselves against the lifelessness of space.
Studio i Ore is shares this same planetary perspective in its very name. The word ’Earth’ is said to share a common root with ’ore’ making our name ’i Earth’. In daily use ’ore’ means metal-bearing rocks – objects between nature & technology.
Our brand’s mission is to create things for Spaceship Earth. Contributions to a collection that embodies humans’ shared creative potential & sophistication as makers. In this service, i ore uses the most advanced technologies & radically sustainable materials.
Objects branded ’i ore’ are long-lasting testaments of humans’ remarkable understanding of the world — perhaps even to observers deep in the distant future that will only find what we have left behind.
